The Game Changer Coffee Blend

In April 2023, Andrew Derrington began noticing weakness in his right arm and leg. Despite initially dismissing these early signs, these symptoms led him to get an MRI that revealed a large, inoperable Grade 4 Glioblastoma—an aggressive brain tumour—embedded deeply in the thalamic area of his brain.

Even though his prognosis was grim, Andrew never lost hope. He fought the disease every day. But despite undergoing intensive radiation and chemotherapy treatment, within seven months, Andrew passed away. He had just turned 55.

During his ordeal, Andrew, alongside his wife and caregiver Anita, recognised the acute lack of support available to brain cancer patients and their families in Australia’s regional centres, far from big-city expertise and coordinated medical resources.

Spurred on by this, Andrew, with the help of family and close friends, started Paddo’s Foundation—named after his affectionate nickname borne from a comical university photo.

Famous for his unwavering support of people around him—most significantly through his coaching of young rugby union and AFL players—’Paddo’ inspired the foundation’s mission to help people with brain cancer, and their families, manage the disease on their terms by funding specialist teams providing emotional, operational and logistical support services when and where they need it.

Paddo’s Foundation has partnered with award-winning Bellissimo Coffee to launch Paddo’s Plunge ‘The Game Changer’. By choosing this blend, you help fund critical support services, as 70% of all profits support the foundation’s mission.
